Description

NICK DRAKE – FIVE LEAVES LEFT

Label details

This record is very rare indeed especially on an ORIGINAL EARLIEST 1969 FIRST PRESSING.

The catalogue matrix number is ILPS 9105, original 1969 first (thick) pressing ‘pink island’ label with the ‘black circle’ logo (see picture)

Sound

I have listened to this record at length using a Garrard deck (model SP25) and it certainly has amazing depth and crystal clear sound.

Record condition

The record still retains every bit of its original just pressed look and I would have graded it near mint, other than for a light non-sounding pressing mark, during the track ‘ Man in a Shed’ . I am therefore giving this record an EXCELLENT grading. I must point out once again that this small pressing mark is totally NON-SOUNDING. (Please note that I offer a no quibbles full money refund with this record should satisfaction not be 100%)

Record cover condition

The Earnest. J. Day unlaminated gatefold cover is in excellent condition.  It has slight edge wear, with minimal rubbing to front cover (on the green background). The cover has no creases, no ringware, no yellowing, no writing or stickers to be found anywhere!

The back cover has no rubbing and is in crisp and clean condition.

The inner gatefold cover is crisp clean and has the rare ‘ SUNDOWN’ mistitle for the lyrics of ‘Three hours’.

The cover must grade EXCELLENT if not better!

Final comment
