This is a great chance to obtain a FIRST PRESS copy of the FOLK/PYSCH classic LP by NICK DRAKE called BRYTER LAYTER on the pink rim/palm tree Island label. This LP is in EXCELLENT condition overall. I am giving this a LOW STARTING BID with NO RESERVE.
This is a FIRST PRESS copy of this LP with matrix numbers ILPS 9134 A-1U and ILPS 9134 B-1U. This LP does not turn up often because it did not sell in great numbers and so this is a great chance for the collector of British folk or psych or just the lover of great music. This is my favourite Drake LP - I love the jazzy feel to many of the tracks making this a record which is impossible to classify in any particular genre.
The VINYL is in GREAT CONDITION!!!!!!!!!!! - with only a very few light, non-sounding 'paper'-type marks and scuffs and it PLAYS with undiminished SOUND QUALITY - no hiss, no clicks, no jumps and no repeats - with no groove wear and absolutely wonderful reproduction which is essential for listening to this LP.
The LABELS are clean with no marks or writing and no spindle marks or spindle wear.
The COVER has NO MAJOR DEFECTS, rare for this LP which has a flimsily constructed E J Day textured cover. This copy has no creases, no tears, no marks and no writng and sharp opening edges. I would say it is at least very good with some edge wear and a slight ring mark.
OVERALL GIVEN THE VINYL I WOULD SAY THIS IS AN EXCELLENT EXAMPLE OF THIS FABULOUSLY RARE RECORD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
