SETTLE IN FOR A LONG RUN OF COLLECTABLE LPs OF VARIOUS MUSICAL STYLES!! This is a reasonably priced 1986 HANNIBAL RECORDS 4 LP BOX SET titled 'Fruit Tree', containing three previously released LPs plus a fourth collection of 14 single and previously unreleased tracks from 'doomed romantic' English singer / songwriter Nick Drake.  It is Hannibal Records catalog number HNBX 5302, which I believe was the catalog number of this piece in both the U.S. and the UK.  Records come packaged inside the box in individual custom inner sleeves which for the three previously released albums bear the original album cover artwork, and with new original artwork for the sleeve containing the fourth 14 track collection of single and previously unreleased tracks.  The set alson contains a 16-page 12" x 12" book with extensive biographical information and complete song lyrics.  Albums contained in this set are as follows:  (1) FIVE LEAVES LEFT - Nick Drake is variously accompanied on this album by Fairport Convention members Danny and Richard Thompson, as well as Paul Harris, Rocki Dzidzornu, Clare Lowther, and Tristam Fry. Tracks: Time Has Told Me, River Man, Three Hours, Day Is Done, Way To Blue, Cello Song, The Thought Of Mary Jane, Man In A Shed, Fruit Tree, Saturday Sun.  (2) BRYTER LAYTER - Nick Drake is variously accompanied on this album by Fairport Convention members Dave Pegg, Dave Mattacks and Richard Thompson, as well as Ray Warleigh, Mike Kowalski, Lyn Dobson, John Cale, Chris McGregor, Pat Arnold, and Doris Troy. Tracks: Introduction, Hazey Jane II, At The Chime Of A City Clock, One Of These Things First, Hazey Jane I, Bryter Layter, Fly, Poor Boy, Northern Sky, Sunday.  (3) PINK MOON - No personnel listed - PinkMoon, Place To Be, Road, WhichWill, Horn, Things Behind The Sun, Know, Free Ride, Parasite, Harvest Breed, From The Morning.  (4) TIME OF NO REPLY - Includes ten previously unreleased tracks, no personnel listed - Time Of No Reply, I Was Made To Love Magic, Joey, Clothes Of Sand, Man In A Shed, Mayfair, Fly, TheThoughts Of Mary Jane, Been Smoking Too Long, Strange Meeting II, Rider On The Wheel, Black Eyed Dog, Hanging On A Star, Voice From The Mountain.  Visual condition of all four records is NM- with each record having one or two extremely light surface marks which only show up under strong light, cannot be felt, and do not affect play - I believe these marks resulted from the records having been inserted into and removed from their sleeves and not from use, I do not believe any of the records in this set were ever played.   Condition of 16 page book is a SOLID NM with no signs of use.  Condition of all four custom inner sleeves is VG+ with the only real flaw being some vertical wrinkles resulting from storage, the inner sleeves were manufactured to just about the same size as the inside of the box and it is a tight fit.  Condition of outer box is a mid to high VG+ with one torn corner on the inner box, some fading of the print on the spine, some contact wear, and some wear along the edges and on the corners.  This box set would be a great way to add most of Nick Drake's recorded output to your Nick Drake or English singer / songwriter record collection!
