NICK DRAKE. PINK MOON. FIRST PRESS. PINK RIM ISLAND LABEL. ISLAND ILPS 9184 A-1U/B-1U MATRIX. ORIGINAL BLUE INNER SLEEVE. EXCELLENT+.
My listening equipment is a highly revealing Roksan Xerxes/Artemiz/Shiraz turntable, pre/power amplification and Castle speakers.
Played on my system, this LP grades Excellent+ to Near Mint. Side one has a trace of very minor background noise to occasional quiet parts but it's so insignificant I believe it merits a Near Mint grade. The opening track on side two has a very fine surface mark which runs along the groove and this produces a few seconds of fuzzy background noise. Apart from that the rest of the side plays superbly and grades Excellent+. So overall, Excellent+ is the minimum grading in my opinion. The unlaminated gatefold cover is in very good condition with just a little rubbing to the corners and spine. There's some slight creasing to the opening edge on the back cover and the front cover has some small indentation marks (see photo) which only show up in angled light. Complete with blue Islan inner sleeve. This is an excellent example of this much sought after LP.
