ARTIST: NICK DRAKE
TITLE: BRYTER LAYTER
LABEL: ISLAND ILPS 9134
This is the legendary and for many the best Nick Drake LP called 'Bryter Layter'. This is a SUPERB copy which I will describe carefully because its in FABULOUS condition and the best I have ever seen - practically BRAND NEW and will never have to be upgraded.
This is a UK FIRST PRESS original on the PINK RIM/PALM TREE Island label with FIRST PRESS matrix numbers ILPS 9134 A 1- U and ILPS 9134 B 1-U. The VINYL is very close to MINT with only one or two light 'paper-type' marks caused by removal from the inner sleeve. The SOUND is SUPERB with absolutely no back ground noise even in the quiet sections of which there are many. There is a very light almost inaudible pop for 3 revolutions on side one which is so unobtrusive I missed it when I listened first time. Overall the all-important vinyl is visually and aurally very close to MINT.
The pink rim/palm tree labels are CLEAN, UNMARKED AND MINT.
The textured COVER must rate a strong EXCELLENT - no edge wear, sharp opening edges, perefectly straight, readable spine and practically no rubbing on the cover (SEE PHOTO). This copy comes complete with a near MINT original Island poly-lined inner sleeve.
This is great copy - you will search hard to find a better - LOW OPENING BID AND NO RESERVE.

EXCELLENT: The item has been played but there is minimal lessening in sound quality. Cover and contents have slight wear.
VERY GOOD: The record has been played and has some marks but little lessening in sound quality. Cover and contents show some wear.
GOOD:The record has been played and alot and sound quality has deteriorated noticeably. The cover and contents are damaged.
