Description
NICK LOWE “So It Goes”
RARE 10” ACETATE + Label Copy
ARTIST: Nick Lowe
TITLE: “So It Goes” - includes original label copy sheet with details of the single originally released by Stiff Records. Acetate was cut at Columbia’s legendary (and no longer existant) East 52nd St. recording studio.
DATE: May, 1978
SPEED: 45 rpm
SIZE: 10” disc
CONDITION: Used but cared for and well preserved. These acetates have been in my personal collection as original owner since they were issued. This record is in its original generic paper sleeve.
NOTES:
Acetates are extra heavy discs, with the center of the record containing a layer made of metal, usually aluminum. These records are the first versions made from the master tapes (prior to test pressings or promo copies and are usually superior sounding) for the purpose of comment on the mix by the artist and producer. Sometimes the mixes can be slightly different or contain a different mix or edit from the final release. These were never meant to be available to the public. They were expensive to make so very few, if any, were made, making them very RARE and collectible.
