NICO LP CHELSEA GIRL (Verve Records V6-5032). Released 1967.
Original US stereo pressing with original Verve printed inner sleeve.
Chelsea Girl is the debut solo album by Nico. It was released in October 1967 by Verve Records, also home to Velvet Underground. The name of the album is a reference to Andy Warhol's 1966 film Chelsea Girl which Nico starred in. Tom Wilson produced this record. Many of the songs on the album have instrumental work from The Velvet Underground whom Nico had previously collaborated with the year before on The Velvet Underground & Nico.Several of the songs were written by Lou Reed & Sterling Morrison. The song "I'll keep it with Mine" which is also featured on the album, was written by Bob Dylan and the album also features three songs by Jackson Browne who also contributes guitar to the album

Some wear on the cover, but the only seam splitting is three inches on the spine. Warhol pal Paul Morrissey did the nice photos. Liner notes from In Magazine by Pat Patterson.Val Valentin engineered this "Low-Fi" recording. The disc is in fairly nice condition, with a small scuff. No scratches, though. No warpage, pits or residue on the platter. (Etched Matrix number: "V6-5032 SIDE 1 NYS-1066-REV ").
COVER - VG
Three inches of seam split on spine edge. No stains on front; no stickers, writing, water damage or cut-out marks. The remarkable cover photo retains great color, with no fading or sun washout. Label looks great with a tiny scuff, but no marks, writing, cuts or stickers. Sharp cut hole free of spindle brushings.
DISC - E
We give great importance to grading our items accurately. There are two or three brief scuffs. I believe the understanding & committed listener will find the surface noise to easily fall within the range of acceptable. Free of skips, warping or residue on the disc or dead wax. Platter exhibits a fine rainbow sheen.
