Ultra rare original UK pressing white label 12-inch, from 1981 on GC Recordings (GC1).

Only 500 copies were ever made!

Featuring the first and best version of this legendary track, and a holy grail for minimal synth/coldwave disco collectors. This is the real sound of the New Romantic movement; timeless electronic dance music with indefinable magic in the grooves...

Has hand-stamped lettering in black ink on the side A label.

Etched in the run-off grooves:

side A: GC1A / GG / UTOPIA
side B: GC1B / GG

Comes in plain paper sleeve.

I rescued this from a box full of records where it was sat with no sleeve on, so there are some storage scuffs, marks and small scratches. It does play ok though, so i would grade the condition as 'good'. Side A has some crackles at the start which seem to gradually fade off and aren't really noticeable once the track gets going. There are only two or three noticeable clicks on this side, and then just slight crackles as the track fades out. Side B is pretty much the same except there are slightly more clicks (probably about ten in total). So not a perfect copy but still playable and most of the time sounds fine!
