JAZZ IN THE SUN Lp with NILO TOLEDO. Original US pressing on the HOCTOR label (HLPS 4204), from circa mid '70s. Cult Hoctor dance instruction item. A desirable private pressing featuring some amazing funk and psychedelic soul themes. We have recorded the James Brown influenced B-boy funk of THE GOLD COAST / a funk version of the BT Express disco anthem, DO IT TILL YOU'RE SATISFIED / a soulful Blaxploitation style version of AIN'T NO SUNSHINE with jazz horns / latin percussion breaks and hip hop beats / RAW SUGAR / the infectious fender rhodes groove BUNGLE IN THE JUNGLE (complete with animal sound FX) and the fuzz distortions of the groovy MAINLINE FLORIDA theme. Superb playing from an uncredited studio group, especially the funky drummer. Near impossible to find now with vinyl and sleeve in top condition like our copy :) Striking artwork sleeve showing Nilo. Our record grading: SEALED / M- / VG++ / VG+ / VG 

Vinyl is in shiny Strong VG++ condition (closer to M-) with some hairlines. Some faded old pressing marks to first track of each side. Light surface noises but common for Hoctor releases, in general. Big production sound. The thick card sleeve is closer to M- condition overall with minimal wear from storage. A touch of ring wear. Some ring dirt marks (to back sleeve) and one corner ding, front bottom right at open side. Camera flash glare to sleeve and label photo. Rare Lp!!!
