Description

 The Ninth Amendment, "Soft Sunshine Soul", Two:Dot LP #HRH32069, citca 1970 (?)

Very rare and sought-after sunshine pop/psych LP on the tiny Two:Dot label out of Ojai, CA,
home to Arthur, Hendrickson Roadhouse, Mystic Zephyr 4, etc...it seems that everything on
this label is a rarity and this one is no exception. It's good sunshine pop/psych with a folky edge.

What makes this copy interesting is the fact that a former owner must have been someone who was close
to the group. The musicians' names are not listed on the record cover, but someone wrote, very lightly in
red pen, the names of all but one of the group members above their picture. Writer/producer Glen Scott
is named, as is "Mark" who must be Mark Lawson, who wrote the only song not written by Scott. Other
group members are Tim, Donna, Gloria, Tony, Shelly, Cliff, and Leslee.

But even more interesting, is a never-seen-before insert included with the record, a card that is 7" across and is
designed to look like a 45 RPM record, and lists song titles on the front and back. Curiously, some of
those song titles are not on the LP, so it is a bit of a mystery...

GRADING:

Cover is VG+, with typical ring wear and edge and corner wear, writing on cover
(the musicians' names as well as the name of the former owner)

Disc is VG+, writing on label. Plays nice but with some light surface noise; typical for Two:Dot records,
as they seem to all be very cheap pressings.

Insert is creased, was once folded in half. Has a little tape residue on one side.
