Like this needs any introduction?! Nope! You know what this is. The story is, I was friends w a former DJ at San Francisco’s legendary college radio station KUSF. The LP was liberated in the early 90’s and found its way into my collection.
The vinyl is in surprisingly good condition. There is one notable but very mild surface scratch over the tracks Negative Creep and Scoff, but it does NOT affect play, nor can it be heard. No other dings, deep scratches or other damage on the vinyl. Typical surface noise, that’s it. The sound quality is outstanding.
As a DJ copy, the album was never played all the way through but only select tracks were played at any given time. I’ve played the LP all the way through several times over the years. But it’s gotten ZERO spins in the last 20 years (I’ve several vinyl reissues of Bleach, so I’ve retired this OG from my turntables). It’s been housed in a thick plastic record sleeve, vertically in my record library.
This 2nd press of Bleach regularly fetches in the $400-$1000+ range.Given this LP’s legacy as a KUSF copy I think adds to its unique value.
