Description

Up for auction is a NEAR MINT vinyl copy of NIRVANA's landmark debut album 'Bleach' which was originally released in August 1989 on SUBPOP. The copy here was released after the huge success of ‘Nevermind' probably around December 1991. This repress was made in many different vinyl colours, the blue opaque marbled version here is one of these, known as the ‘Erika' pressing, named after one of SUBPOP's frequently used pressing plants. The record sleeve does NOT have the ‘Erika' information on the back panel, that usually came with these later pressings. With the misspelled Kurdt Kobain credit (please see scan) it's probably an original 1st (or 2nd?) pressing sleeve.

The RECORD had very little play - the vinyl appears to be unplayed, with any signs of use at all! The record shines beautifully and mirror-like (please see scan)! I will grade both sides as NEAR MINT! PLAYBACK is fantastic and without any disturbances. I will grade PLAYBACK for both sides of the record as NEAR MINT! The handwritten matrix numbers are for Side A: SP-34-A Kdisc ch L.32926 and for Side B SP-34-B Kdisc ch L.329626.X.

Both LABELS are free of any unwanted writing, there are a handul of very faint spidermarks around the spindle hole on both sides. Both labels still grade as NEAR MINT-!

The album COVER is in EXCELLENT condition, i.e. NO writing, NO seam splits, NO ring wear. There's only slight shelf wear to the top seam and two tiny creases to the front panel. These creases are not through the colour and hardly visible - I'm very picky here.

All in all a fantastic NEAR MINT copy of a rare coloured vinyl NIRVANA debut album!

The album will be mailed to the lucky winner in a stiff record mailer with extra cardboard stiffeners for full protection!
