Printed in many different vinyl colors, allegedly in 500 copies for each color. however, some of them (purple, black) appear less frequently than others, and may have been made in lesser quantities. from Terry Searle: I do remember asking Frank (Cotterell, owner of Waterfront) about the number of copies, and he was rather vague. In fact I asked him all about the number of pressings of the various colored Bleaches etc... And gave him some of the ball park figures that we have come up with... eg. Blue LTD to 1500 pressings, purple, yellow = 300 copies, Red, green = 500 copies and so on. He said these seem about right. And told me that they never kept any actual records of the pressing quantities of each LP. I also guessed at about 20 (thereabouts) copies of the test pressing, and he thinks that is a reasonable figure.
All sleeves are made with the same cardboard stock, and have a 'flat' spine, except for the black vinyl issue, where it's 'rounded'.
the silver ink has a metallic finish.
There are two types of labels, the differences are the text size, and the presence or not of an extra line of credits, 'Licensed from SUB-POP (U.S.A.)' under the track titles.
The overall quality of these releases is less than optimal:
the sleeves are uncoated so they are easily scratched and prone to ring wear
the sleeves often have bent corners and split spines.
the labels often have surface defects and irregular silver ink printing
the records, even when new, have a fair amount of background noise
At the beginning of 2013 several fakes and counterfeits on vinyl of various colours started to be sold on ebay and by the usual uk and German shops and websites.
Recorded in Seattle at Reciprocal Recording for $600.
Although credited, Jason Everman does not appear on the album. He did cover the studio costs ($606.17), though, which are proudly listed on the album's back cover.
