Description

NIRVANA
"In Utero"
LP
Geffen Records/Universal Music UK
424 536-1

From Wikipedia's entry on Nirvana's In Utero Album: In 2003 what is believed to be the original Albini mix of In Utero was issued as a vinyl-only release by Universal Music in the UK. This is believed to be the result of a mistake at the factory when the wrong master tapes were used to have the album recut. The discs were manufactured in Germany. They can be indentified by the numbers A33 9124 536 S1 320 pressed into the deadwax, or the catalog numbers 424 536-1 on the disc.

This Universal UK/Geffen release was cut from a different set of master tapes
with a significantly different mix of the album (especially "Heart Shaped Box" and "All Apologies").
This pressing contains matrix codes A33 9124 536 S1 320 and A33 9124 536 S2 320 stamped into the deadwax.
This legendary "320" pressing is the best sounding Nirvana "In Utero" pressing available with significantly different mixes.
The entire album is tougher with a thicker bass, the vocals further back in the mix, and the guitars out in front, unlike the Geffen approved mix that would eventually be released, this is the way it was meant to be heard!

Vinyl and Cover are in flawless condition (Mint-/Mint-)
