RECORD - Near Mint with no visible marks of any kind - looks as new with mirror like sheen. I've not cleaned the record, this is how it looks straight from the sleeve.Still some swarf attatched to centre hole and just the faintest single spindle mark on each side - only noticeable in bright light. Very flat, no warping. Label unmarked & unfingered - impossibly rare good condition.
I played it through once (using high end cartridge and arm) to check. No scratches, just general vinyl background noise as would be expected on any pressing. Virtual silence on track breaks and run outs. There is no distortion on peaks or vocals - very clean throughout.
I saved long and hard to buy vinyl as a kid, and my usual practice was to record the albums to cassette for general listening and keep the vinyl pristine, so I would say this has been played only two or three times at most on my then system cartridge Ortofon VMS20, so never been abused with a cheap pick-up.
SLEEVE - Excellent general condition with no ringwear. Strong spine and minimal marking. There is slight tear damage to sleeve front top corner under the logo where presumably a price sticker was removed. (I remember berating my local shop for using permanent stickers on albums!) Also slight dark patches that seem oily on bottom edge of sleeve that must have been picked up from storage.I thought they were part of the design at first until I noticed them on a couple of other albums - they can be seen in the photos.
INNER SLEEVE - Original printed swirl, slightly yellowed at edges and adhesive points - uncreased as new, just general ageing.
