NIRVANA "Love Buzz" b/w "Big Cheese" Limited Edition SUB-POP SINGLES CLUB 7" 45
The ultimate Nirvana rarity, in superlative condition.
From the original pressing of 1200, this is a "RED SLASH" version, limited to 200 copies -- used as promos or sold in select record stores.
A near-perfect example of this mega-rare record. Rarely played, the vinyl is practically flawless -- no perceptible scratches or fingerprints and super-shiny. Flat as a pancake. There appears to be the tiniest (< .5cm) superficial scuff at the beginning of the A-side but it isn't audible. Only the slightest evidence of spindle marks on the B-side label. The sleeve has neat corners and little evidence of handling, just the expected mild round imprint from the record itself and a couple tiny dings (less than 1cm each) on the bottom, only noticeable if you look really hard. I'm really stretching to find flaws here!
It has never had a price sticker, so no leftover sticker goo. Includes original white paper inner sleeve.
Seriously, it looks like it just came out of the shipping box from Sub-Pop... 25 years ago!
This record was registered on the Love Buzz List at "wwwdotsliverdotit/nirvana/" on February 24, 2011. The description there reads as follows:
"This un-numbered copy was originally sold at my store (Atomic Records, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA) for $3.95. We ordered direct from Sub-Pop and could purchase excess copies of their Singles Club releases. When Nirvana broke big I realized I never saved a copy for myself so I bought it back from a customer for $100." -- Rich/Atomic Records
