"Love Buzz" begins with a collage of "cartoon sounds", which is not included in the version on the Bleach album. It was written by Dutch band Shocking Blue in the 1970's, (who also had an international hit with "Venus"). This was Nirvana's first release in the Sub Pop Singles Club series. A total number of 1200 copies were produced, as has been verified by the original invoice for the production order of 1200 discs. Of these, 1000 discs were put in individually hand-numbered sleeves 1 - 1000 in red pen. A further 200 were put in sleeves that had a red slash across the space before the ----/1000 and were used in promotional mailers.
The cover/paper fold over sleeve is near mint with no splits, tears, dog eared corners, or damage at all. There is just a slight impression from a pen (record cover was under a piece of paper and only has a light 3" crease in center side - hardly visable, but nothing obvious. The inner white paper sleeve is near mint. The disc itself is super bright, crisp, and clean. Both the labels and centre holes have no spindle marks and are mint. The paper sleeve is numbered on the rear in red pen stating 972 / 1000. Overall, this record is in fantastic condition for 22 years old and is a "must have" addition to anyone's Nirvana collection who does not yet have one. I fully encourage you to take out insurance on the safe registered delivery of this record.
I am the original owner of this record. It has been played possibly only a few times at best. Was ordered direct from Sub Pop back in 1988. Absolute original item.
