Description

Welcome to the World of MacLizardking’s Music.

Season’s greetings music lovers and welcome back to my listings… It’s been an age since I had the pleasure of offering you lucky lot some serious slices of vinyl, but am happy to report that it’s time, once again, to thin-out the old vinyl vault. As ever, it’s either the more interesting, rare, book valued stuff, or pristine copies of those more recent lp you’d always been after… or in some cases, both! The best quality of service and product are still my mantras from the start to finish of the process and I’ll list as many aural treats as time allows.

Here’s the deal folks…

·         I grade honestly to the strict “Record Collector” grading system.

·         Listings have a nice, low-start price, finding the correct level eventually… sometimes!

·         I only sell high quality vinyl, some rare, some far less so, but always the best I can find.

·         If it says “NM”… it means “NM”.

·         Start prices are NOT indicative of condition, so there’s serious potential bargains to be had.

·         Every lp is re-housed in a high-quality polly-lined inner sleeve & a thick pollythene outer sleeve.

·         Every lp is both visually and aurally inspected. The ONLY way to appoint an accurate grading.

·         Every lp is re-housed in the polly sleeve, outside the original prior to packaging. No splits!

·         I l feedback when you pay… no “ransoming” here! You’ve done your bit, so now it’s up to me!

·         I package each lp personally and with a ludicrous level of care! Practically a work of art!

·         1st timer’s, check-out the new example packaging photos below, in the P&P section!

·         I strive to provide the VERY best product and service levels possible, with detailed descriptions.

·         I do all this as I genuinely love both music and people, and e-bay is a fantastic forum for both!

·         PLEASE check my feedback… it even amazes me as to how kind buyer’s comments can be!

Peace & love…

MacLizardking.

Introduction and MacLizardking’s Initial Review: Second of today’s “Boxing Day Finale’” tempters, is this stunning WHITE VINYL pressing of Nirvana’s “Nevermind”. I came across this serious rarity whilst trawling through the record shops of Camden and was lucky enough to snare the only two copies that were in the shop … I’ve never found any others since! One copy takes pride of place in my collection and this one was stashed in the “might sell one day” box… well, the day has finally arrived.

NOTE: All photos below are of the item on sale (unlike the last listing (Metallica) and is marked up as NM. This grading is ONLY appointed, as the item is brand new and in perfect condition, as when bought. I have only played the (silent!)  play-in to side one and opening bars of “Smells Like Teen Spirit” to ensure no pressing issues, so, tto all intents and purpose this one is MINT in and out; but being a tough stickler on such things, will grade (harshly!) as NM now, as the first 15 seconds have been played!

Now, please read on for the full, glorious detail, being both my personal description statement and accuracy of condition guarantee, not to mention the stack of photo’s contained within the listing detail itself. I’ve split these in to two sections now (Sleeve and Vinyl) located immediately beneath my description. Please make no mistake, an EX is still an awesome listen and not some unplayable item better served as a flower pot! All listings benefit from a full play through, on my “every-glitch-audible” grading set up of classic wooden Revolver deck and Pioneer A333 amp, all pulsing through a rather splendid pair of Wharfedale Pacific Pi-40 floor-standers.

VG (Very Good): “The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch”

G (Good): “The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches”

F (Fair): “The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump”.

P (Poor): “The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise etc”.

B (Bad) : “The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler”.

Albums & 12” Singles

Solo 12” LP Record: UK = £3.00, Europe = £5.00, Rest of World = £7.00

Please note: I always try to post as quickly as possible after you’ve paid, but I no longer have the luxury of both living and working next door to a post office, therefore, it’s going to be the Saturday morning after you’ve paid that I load all my packages in to the jeep and head out in to the wilds to the nearest post office! We are talking deep in the countryside now! These costs are for the standard GB postage rate and at least £1.00’s worth of packaging materials! Each package also takes me considerable time and attention to wrap, but I’m giving you my time and great care for free! As you’ll see when you get the thing, there is no profit and the charges are not negotiable; particularly post sale!

Please add the following cost per disc, up to a maximum of 5 discs per package.

UK + £1.00 Europe + £2.00 Rest of World + £3.50

·         Proof of dispatch certification is obtained for every package.

·         I take GREAT care with packaging and have only ever had 3 arrive damaged out of over 2500!

And finally…

Whilst this may all appear slightly excessive on the detail front, I do go to great lengths to ensure the accuracy of these listings and promote “service” and “honesty” as treasured commodities as, on rare occasion, I have found them to be lacking in (one or two) others with whom I have dealt on e-bay… however, NOT here! I feel I should also add that I have been professionally involved in the music, entertainment or service industry for the last 25 years and as a fan of all genres of “quality” music since year “dot”…  To verify all this manic attention to detail  please do check my feedback, which I go to great lengths to keep positive and my buyers are both cool and kind enough to leave.

OVER 2500 POSITIVE SALES FEEDBACK RATINGS CAN’T BE WRONG FOLKS!!!

My genuine appreciation for looking at my listing and checking out all this blurb. I hope this finds you well, under “blue skies” and at peace with your world, whilst listening to some groovy tunes on the greatest format ever, lovely, lovely warm & natural vinyl!

Cheers, peace & love;

MacLizardking.
