Nirvana "Here She Comes Now" b/w Melvins "Venus in Furs" 7 inch vinyl single This is an early pressing (possibly first, but not quite sure) of the rare split single by Nirvana and the Melvins, both of which are playing Velvet Underground covers.This is a rare single on The Communion Label, whose roster also included great bands like Folk Implosion, and others. This is Communion #23 (© 1991). This edition is on PURPLE "MARBLE" VINYL (very slight color flecks in the vinyl color, but this doesn't affect the playability i.e. no audible defects!). It has 2 total songs: Side A: NIRVANA "Here She Comes Now" Side B: Melvins "Venus in Furs" This vinyl record is in excellent edition (hardly played since it was purchased in the early 90's) , and the cover is also in top shape. (See photos for details). The Nirvana song also appeared on the Communion CD "Heaven and Hell", which (if I'm not mistaken) was an album of great indie and underground bands doing Velvet Underground covers. If anyone can find a copy of this CD, let me know! (I'd be interested in owning it...). Plus, the Nirvana track ended up on the Nirvana box set "With the Lights Out" from a few years back, but this is a cooler format to have the song so.......bid on it!
