Details. From my own personal collection. Mega rare 1973 UK pressing on Orbitone. Nigerian Afro Funk LP
Vinyl Condition:- First visually. Side 1 looks good and Side 2 is a VG (overall grade VG minus) however test play produces much better sound than looks would indicate. Side 1 - clean shiny vinyl with a light surface marks and one noticeable scratch across 1st and 2nd tracks hence why I graded it down. Test play produce very good overall sound quality and the larger scratch causes no major issues. Overall sound is fine with occasional light background surface noise, although most of the time the music makes this non audible anyway, and there are just the odd random light background clicks now and then, nothing major. Again none of this spoils the listening as the music is always at the forefront. No distortion, no trackwear. The other side plays just the same as side 1. No distortion, no trackwear. So if you want EX or Mint then this is not for you. This is an Afro-Funk vinyl rarity that is still playable and an an enjoyable listen. The record has been vacuum machine cleaned and played in full on both sides before listing for auction on eBay.
Sleeve Condition:- VG. Numerous creases on all four corners. On the back some discolouration and small blemishes with age. Opening edge has some creases and has thinned out a bit. No splits or tears, no unwanted handwriting etc
Label Condition:- VG+ Just a few light spindle marks. Otherwise clean, no serious wear and no unwanted pen marks etc

Grading Abbreviations
Grading below is as stated from UK Record Collector. I also use +/- for records that fall somewhere between a grade
Mint (M) The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet. booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records marked as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
Excellent (EX) The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
Very Good (VG) The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects is acceptable
Good (G) The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.
Fair (F) The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
Poor (P) The record will not play properly due to scratched, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing .
Bad (B) The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler
