Here is a BEAUTIFUL vintage Billie Holiday album from my collection offered up for sale: Her 1954 album, "Lady Day", this is a RARE 1954 original first pressing released by Columbia Records CL 637 (mono). Has the heavy rigid vinyl and the early 1950's style "long playing" red and silver labels. Has a $100 - $150 book value (Osborne). Billie has a beautiful sultry style of singing, great backing music, fantastic record, hard to find in this nice condition!
The heavy weight record grades NEAR MINT, is super glossy and clean, pristine looking, looks rarely played, has been VERY well cared for! PLAY TESTED, plays great from start to finish with excellent sound quality, quiet in quiet spots and between tracks, a VERY enjoyable listen! The vintage labels are super clean, no stickers or writing, only a couple spindle marks!
The cover rates NEAR MINT, is clean and has gloss, has deep colors, bright white, front has a beautiful clean portrait of Billie with no ring wear, no wear to edges and corners but small seam split at center bottom, no tape, no signatures or writing, no cut outs, great vintage cover, has been very well cared for! (see photos).
