Description
For sale is a near mint, stereo pressing of the split album Jazz-Studio H.G.B.S. Number One, which one side by Das Hans Koller Oktett and the other side by Das Wolfgang Dauner Trio. It was put out by Saba Records (SB 15003ST).
I grade conservatively on a NM, VG+, VG, VG-, G scale. I don't use EX. For each record in my collection I sell, I clean it on my VPI recording cleaning machine (see photo) before I put it up on eBay.
I'd say the record itself is near mint (NM). It does not appear to have any scratches, and the original inner sleeve (see photo) is lined with plastic. I played it recently on my Dual 1229 turntable with Shure m97xE cartridge and JICO stylus, and it sounds like it is new. It's very quiet, which is especially important because the Wolfgang Dauner songs has only three instruments and are quiet. The audio quality of this stereo pressing is really great. I just don't listen to it.
The floppy, European-style cover has a few creases, and a small tear. There also is some shelf wear, but there are no splits. (See photos.) I'll grade it as VG.
I also am throwing in a Saba Stereo Sound sampler album. It features songs by a variety of musicians who recorded for the label. (See photo of back cover for the musicians.)
