Here we have a very rare 1st pressing of the 2nd of may by May Blitz on original vertigo swirl label. This is a prog classic and is in fantastic condition for age. The record itself looks barely played and visually near mint with no marks or scratches. Under strong light the faintest if any sleeve removal wisps can be seen. I play graded the record and it sounded fantastic on my technics deck with audiophile arm. There was no distortion on sound as far as i could tell. There was a small amount of crackle/static on the run ins and in some quieter places. This did sound like a new record to me. To be on the conservative side i would play grade as excellent. A professional clean would make a difference i reckon .The labels are excellent plus with a handful of wispy spindle lines on each side. I reckon this is the amount of times it was played! The sleeve shows a tiny amount of edge/ corner wear. It also has some very light handling/foxing in places. I have to say this is very very slight. I would grade the sleeve at as ex to ex+ condition. The inner sleeve is vg+ with a small amount of sunning to top of sleeve but otherwise ex. The matrix nos and stampers are as follows side A 6360037 1y//1 420 and 04. Side B is 6360037 2y//1 420 and o4. As far as i know these are the earliest or very early nos. Don't miss the opportunity to buy a true investment. I think you would struggle to find a better copy.
