Jacket Grading:   VG+ I am a strict grader, especially with outer jackets, and have marked this down from a NM- to a VG+. If you are familiar with this release, you know that the outer cover was printed on thin and sensitive stock paper which was more susceptible to aging and early ring wear. There is some light rounding/wear of corners and some fraying around opening edges. However, all seams are fully intact with no splits or separation. Colors are still deep and rich with no fading. While there are no rips or tears, there is light flaking of laminate in a few small sections (see pics). Back of jacket has some discoloration from natural aging of the original adhesive. I have a very critical eye and assume that you may as well. Given that, I would rather have buyers be pleasantly surprised upon receipt of items purchased from me. I have take many photos (more than I normally would), from different angles and under harsh lighting so that bidders are comfortable.

Overall:
This is a wonderful album and a truly legendary performance by Katchen. It is an early pressing wide-band Decca LP. While I wish the outer jacket was more pristine, it has aged in ways very similar to other copies I have seen of SXL 2076. What it TRULY rare about this item, is that the record has never been played. If the quality of the vinyl itself is what's most important to you, then I think you'd have a hard time finding a nicer copy to add to your collection.  Cheers!
