PLEASE NOTE: I WILL ONLY GRADE AN OPENED LP NEAR MINT (NM) IF I CAN GUARANTEE IT HAS NEVER BEEN PLAYED (i.e. I AM THE ORIGINAL OWNER).  OTHERWISE, NEAR MINT MINUS (NM-) IS THE ABSOLUTE HIGHEST GRADE I WILL ASSIGN AN OPENED LP.


CRAZY RARE original Allied gatefold first pressing of this British indie masterpiece from June 23rd of 1986 on Sire with original printed inner sleeve!!!  LP is a STUNNING near mint minus.  Cover is still in the original shrink wrap and beautiful with a tiny nick at the top and a few small fray spots on the bottom edge where there is a small opening in the cellophane.  Even has the original orange circular $6.29 Sounds Good Records & Tapes (R.I.P.) price label on the cellophane in the top right hand corner on the front cover and ovate PAID/THANK YOU tag on top of the barcode sticker directly underneath it.  A high grade first pressing of this rarity with impeccable provenance.  THIS is what collecting is about Smiths/Morrissey collectors.  I was a punk/metal head as a teenager and when I heard Some Girls Are Bigger Than Others for the first time at 18 I was almost angered by the fact that this new, unorthodox sound was appealing to me but it was so undeniably good I had to listen to it in private so as not to endure any ridicule from my headbanger friends.  Once I heard the entire LP I immediately came to the profound realization that my tastes were evolving and becoming more sophisticated (did I dare say maturing?).  Like the time I heard the first Sabbath LP as a youngster, this was life-changing stuff.  Every fan of music in general NEEDS this LP.  It's that good and this first Allied pressing sounds divine from superb mastering (whoever was responsible for it).  Anyone that follows my auctions knows I don't fawn over many LPs but this an album whose praises I will forever sing and with very good reason.  You will not be disappointed.  Long live The Smiths.
