NM- Smiley Smile Beach Boys ST-9001 #1 Press Brother Record LP 1967 Archive LOOK
From a collection of early Jazz, Soul and early rock in LP's in minty condition. These LPs were loved and played with care and stored properly in sleeves. Check out my other items!
Lots of sellers tout in shrink as a good thing. Sometimes it is, most times not. Open shrink invites dust dirt smell and ring wear. etc I guarantee this is nice than opened shrink copies.
Truly historic, collectible and important record. Vinyl like this is as much an investment as it is an enjoyment. This is long OOP and few truly mintish copies remain, this is one on those rare clean, with no abuse or improper storage.
Looks like H2 / H2 in Deadwax.
No credit to artist Turnbull on cover, another sign of an early press.
No cut out, no punch out, no cut corner, no "promo punch" either. And. no funkiness, no smell, no significant staining.
Cover: With this many pics, I do not grade covers. Look at the pics and decide for yourself. I can say colors are right, and there is no shrink wrap, but LP was stored in 3mil plastic sleeve. There are no big scratches or marks on the cover. The original vintage inner is generic paper and in VGC, but there is a small, clean, un-repaired split at bottom approx 2-3 inches and along another seam. Outer cover is close to perfect (the colors are bright) and cover is smooth, looks like shrink just removed. Back cover has 4 small stray spots of discoloration (see pics). Corners are very good but not perfect. It is USA cardboard type. Graphics are awesome and psychedelic Spine is intact and near perfect. No seam splits.
Vinyl:
NM- A few, inaudible Very Light paper scuffs and scratches visible under bright light. Nothing I could feel. Plays fine with little audible noise, mostly between tracks. Vinyl is flat and round and retains its original gloss. I believe this to be a very early press but prefer you do your own research. I will be happy to answer any questions.
Condition is subjective, please spend a moment or two to zoom in and decide for yourself if this is a record you wish to invest in. To truly enjoy this record get an original copy, original mix and in a condition that does not compromise the sonics and provides full range sound.
None of my records have been machine cleaned, I prefer not to do so. All may benefit from such a clean, I just prefer to use light brushing to clean my LP's.
Also, unless specified, none of my record covers are sleeves have been repaired, I would rather you get the LP in original condition and decide if you wish to fix a minor seam split or not. You will not get records from me that have been clumsily pasted or taped together and passed of as near mint.
