Description
For sale is a near mint original stereo pressing of The Shadows of Knight album Gloria on Dunwich Records. I bought this record, along with several other near mint garage rock records, in 2000, and it has been protected ever since. I have played it only a couple of times since then. I'm selling it simply because I don't listen to it.
I grade conservatively on a NM, VG+, VG, VG-, G scale. I don't use EX. For each record in my collection I sell, I clean it on my VPI recording cleaning machine before I put it up on eBay. (See photo.) I rarely grade records as NM unless they are like new.
That said, this record itself is NM. In fact, it is one of the best looking rock records from the 1960s I've seen, and I've been collecting records for 20 years now. I played the record on my Dual 1229 turntable with Shure m97xE cartridge and stylus, however, and it sounds NM. Really, it sounds great.
The cover, too, is great. It is very stiff and has its original gloss. It has only minimal shelf wear. (See photos.) It feels great. Because of the minimal shelf wear, it isn't NM, so I grade it as VG+.
I ship using a cardboard mailer, with cardboard inserts, plastic sleeve, etc. I ship within the US through the USPS and the cost is $4.00 USD. I ship outside the US only through eBay's Global Shipping Program, and the international shipping cost is calculated through that Program.
