Roll up, roll up all ye Beatles fans....Ready to be re-released by Disney in the near future as a 3D remake, it's The Beatles' YELLOW SUBMARINE....
This was The Beatles' eleventh official album release and interestingly enough, the first album of theirs to included non-Beatles material. Released, after a delay, in mid January the album made it up the UK charts to the 3rd position....With The Beatles' 'White' album denying it the top slot.
There were only modest sales-in comparison with other Beatles releases-as the sales were around 800,000 within the first three months, but it did go over 1 million sales by the end of the year. This could have had something to do with the album having only four original tracks and the rest was George Martin's film score.

So, here's the details of this album up for auction:
(Summary of a Fourth pressing: summer '82. Light green label with “An E.M.I. Recording” text on two lines. Publishing year printed with big copyright symbol (P). Label has a small yellow tint. The sleeve does not have flipbacks, lamination or red lines. Covers were manufactured by Garrod and Lofthouse. The records were housed in standard white paper inner sleeves. Matrix numbers: Side 1: YEX 715-1, Side 2: YEX 716-2).

NEAR MINT.
SUPERB! There are just one or two tiny, light, wispy marks from taking the record out of the sleeve and then carefully replacing it.
After gently professionally cleaning the record, I listened to her-all the way through....The audio was deep and rich, with clear highs and bassy lows. A pure joy to listen to.
Barely any background noise evident-With the very small amount only barely noticeable inbetween tracks and not when they get going.
Glorious sheen.

 I can only see 1 very light spindle marks on her!!! She is the later pressing, but a later pressing in simply superb condition! As is usual, it has the lighter yellowish apple to both sides.

Cover:
EX+.
Lovely and shiny, with sharp corners. It doesn't have the red lines above and below the back text, but it also does not have a bar-code!
Small mark to the bottom, on the front-but not offensive at all.
"Printed and Made by Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd."

Inner:
Near Mint.
It is a white die-cut EMI inner.
"Made In Great Britain"

As near to mint as you can get-without a time-machine.

All in all this is a top grade 4th pressing and would sit proud in any collection.
