Here is a very nice, complete Meet The Beatles Scranton "IMA" Stamped MONO Copy. No BMI/ACSAP credits are noted on the labels making this the earliest and rarest Beatles record every released on Capitol records in America. Very few of these MONO copies out there in this condition being mono was the most affordable during the birth of Beatlmania when this early press was released they endured the most wear and tear. THE IAM stamp is present in the runout making it a match with the original Scranton Jacket. This is a very nice and complete survivor here.
THE ORIGINAL PROMO STICKER IS STILL PRESENT AND NOT ADHERED TO THE COVER. IT REMAINS IN GREAT SHAPE.
The jacket is in NEAR PERFECT condition with only a tiny bump to the right bottom corner, thats if we are getting really picky.. No creasing, staines, or ink marks. The shrink is still almost full intact with it being just a little bit separated on the bottom about 3 inches worth. A few small holes in the shrink are present along the back side spine but are very minor and very negligible. See the pictures for representation and condition. The spine and seams are solid with no splitting. The original inner sleeve is included and has NO seam splitting.
The record itself is in Near Mint condition with only a few very minor scratches which can only really be seen in direct light and do not affect the sound quality whatsoever. Talking about the vinyl, side 1 looks almost completely new with side two being not too far behind. VERY low millage on this record. Not really any surface noise or pops at all except maybe on side two in between songs but almost not even worth mentioning. The labels are nice and crisp with color as seen in pictures. Genuine MONO sound is also noted.
