NORMAN Blake LP Home in Sulphur Springs ROUNDER 0012 TUT TAYLOR Vinyl DEBUT
One of the premiere guitarists in the bluegrass/folk genre, Norman Blake was also a sought-after studio and touring musician. His credits are legion and include stints in the touring bands of Johnny Cash and Kris Kristofferson. His studio credits include Bob Dylan's "Nashville Skyline" and Joan Baez's "The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down".
This is a first pressing of his 1972 solo debut release on Rounder "Home in Sulphur Springs" and features his stellar flat picking and arrangements, (mostly solo, but some fine dobro playing by Tut Taylor on several tracks). The vinyl, visually, is in excellent condition. It plays perfectly with little surface noise during quiet passages, and is play-graded excellent to near mint. The cardboard cover has little or no surface wear/scuffing, but there is minor "whiting" on the corners and a small "ding" on the top-left corner, but is in, overall, excellent condition.
