Comments/Reviews: THIS IS A LIMITED EDITION REISSUE OF THIS MUCH SOUGHT AFTER LOST GEM......THE LP IS NUMBER 43 OF 500 ORIGINALLY PRESSED.
This release came about in 1994 as the result of EMI / Parlophone's reluctance to re-isuue it. I bought this from one of the named guys who is mentioned on the back sleeve who co-ordinated it's release. He got permission to press up a limited number of them to facilitate the demand he knew there was for this LP. Original copies fetch hundreds of pounds in good condition, this copy is just short of mint condition and will hopefully be a great substitute for owning the real thing and has to be better than owning a CD version. If you know about this album you will know the history of it and its standing in collectors circles.
One of the most sought after releases of the Progressive Rock era, "DEN OF INIQUITY" was the only album recorded by the band and was a dark and heavy album with superb compositions that included a reworked version of "Mr. ARMAGEDDON" previously recorded by Haines previous and equally collectable band Locomotive, the excellent title track and the epic thirteen minute long `RABBITS'. Originally released by Parlophone 1971 it was mysteriously deleted months after its release, I don't know why and never understood it..............hopefully I can fill a gap in your collection with this sale. If there is one complaint about this its that the sleeve was printed on very thin card so I have kept it and will send it in a plastic protective sleeve.
