Description
I ALMOST REJECTED this record as not meeting my finicky standards, but relented.
It's the COSMOPOLITAN DANCE ORCHESTRA, one of those synthetic names Grey Gull always was coming up with, doing a song I've never heard of called "NOTHING TO DO BUT BE BLUE." On the flip is the equally fictitious WHITE WAY DANCE ORCH, playing the equally obscure "EASY TO PLEASE." As you know, this record company frequently featured famously fictitious and obscure material.
In reality, both sides are by the GREY GULL HOUSE BAND. This dates from 1925, too early to include Mosiello, Sanella and that bunch. But it's entertaining enough, and jazzy enough (some hot clarinet on "Easy") to hold the franchise.
This original 1925 Madison 8015 is in quite playable V+ condition. The record has a crack - the discovery of which is the reason I nearly nixed it. This crack is stabilized at the rim, and playing the record now, it mostly behaves itself.
