From one of the many subsidiary labels Pama had, here’s another rarity and a real gem in very good condition from the Golden age of Anglo / Jamaican Music. This is a very early release on NU Beat records, produced by the man himself, Jeff Palmer, and is a fine example of the burgeoning home grown reggae market. Historically interesting, this combines Jamaican vocalists (newly arrived, one assumes) with a British rhythm and horn section.
Both sides are in VG+ condition. There are some visible marks and some audible scratches. That said, audio is strong and bright. Plays through without any skips or jumps and the odd scratch certainly doesn’t detract from the listening pleasure.
Side A label has a small blemish and Side B has the original retailer stamp on it advertising the price at 4 shillings (20p)
This is a great copy which sounds fantastic.
