                 Extremely hard to find acid jazz/prog  album with stunning musicianship!!

Elastic Rock is Nucleus' first album. Recorded in January 1970, it was a pioneering work in emerging genre of jazzrock fusion Bandleader Ian Carr, later a jazz journalist and published expert on Miles Davis, was probably inspired by Davis' "Going Electric" in 1969, but the seminal Bitches Brew had not yet been released at the time Elastic Rock was recorded, and according to Carr, they hadn't even heard Davis' less rock-influenced 1969 electric release, In a Silent Way.

In July 1970 the group presented compositions from the album at the Montreux Jazz Festival, winning the first prize. They subsequently performed both at Newport Jazz Festival and at the Village Gate jazz club.

HOLY GRAIL JAZZ/PROG  LP ESPECIALLY IN THIS AWESOME CONDITION!  THE RECORD IS IN FANTASTIC EX CONDITION, PLAYS AWESOME ON EACH SIDE AND HAS A LOVELY SHEEN!!! THE DIE-CUT SLEEVE IS MATT AS YOU CAN SEE AND IN EXCELLENT  CONDITION. COMES WITH THE ORIGIN AL SWIRL INNER SLEEVE!

                                 Vinyl:  EX. I have played this in full> There are NO jumps, NO clicks and NO sticks!!!Under an intense light there are a few wispy hairlines. The audio is breathtaking. There is hardly ever any background noise. The audio is stunning all the way and this album sounds fantastic and was totally underrated at the time. It totally went under the radar and is now extremely scarce especially as a first issue on the UK Vertigo SWIRL label!! Unbelievable musicianship on display here and these are fully trained musicians at the top of their game.

Sleeve: VG++ to EX. Matt gatefold sleeve with the die-cut still completely intact. Rich like newly printed colours, this has been stored away from sunlight for nearly 42 years. No stickers, NO writing, NO smudges. The spine is fully legible. the front has slight wear as seen on the picture but this is because it is matt and black and all sleeves of this album have this to some extent. The inside gatefold is as new!!!Notoriously hard to find with the gimmix die-cut totally intact.

This is a unique investment opportunity!!! This album hardly sold at all. Finding this album in any condition at all is nearly impossible so late in the day. This album is only going to go one way ... up and up ... until it will be totally unavailable at all for a reasonable price. How many would be left??? But in this superb condition ....? Golddust!!
