Description

The Holy Grail for Vertigo Swirl collectors....an original UK 1st press copy of Nucleus - Elastic Rock complete with swirl inner sleeve in super condition. 
This is a true first press with the large swirl label and the Vertigo logo below the spindle hole. First press matrix numbers 1Y/2Y. The record has been cleaned in our amazing Degritter and the vinyl had come up spotless and shiny with only barely visible very minor paper scuffs - see photos. The labels are clean ( no stains or writing) with clean spindle holes and the vinyl sits flat on the turntable. We have graded EX.
Playback is fabulous - huge, bold and atmospheric sound, very dynamic with a wide soundscape and excellent stereo separation. A low noise floor with no jumping or sticking.
The die cut sleeve has slight tearing to the "teardrop" cut out area but this is clean and limited to one small area of damage ( see photos) and fortunately there are no ugly attempts to repair this with tape or other means as is often the case with this album! There is some light age related corner rubbing and some wear to the bottom edge but no splits, writing or stains. The gatefold sleeve is clean, sturdy and robust.
Most importantly, the album has retained the all important matching swirl inner sleeve in excellent condition, only light age related discolouration.
Overall a super copy in lovely condition, fully cleaned and playtested, for collectors or simply to own, play and enjoy!
The record will be sent in an archival outer sleeve.
