NUCLEUS - Elastic Rock - UK Vertigo Swirl original LP with swirl inner EX vinyl
These records are all from my personal collection built up over almost 50 years. Some were bought new, others pre-owned so condition will vary. Please do read and understand the detailed description which is my honest personal assessment - you can always check how good or bad that is by checking my feedback. My attempt at grading is based on the commonly used Record Collector grading system except I will not use Mint. Questions are welcome if anything is unclear. Happy bidding

The Album:
The late great Ian Carr, launching Nucleus after his long stint with the Rendell-Carr Quintet. This was the first of close to a dozen albums released as Nucleus or under his own name. I had a couple of the slightly later ones before I managed to find this one, and by the time I found it the sleeve was a bit worn - but importantly the vinyl plays great. (Actually my own copy of We'll talk about it later also suffered from excessive sleeve wear, so maybe the design of those early Carr album covers was not the best considering their dark colours)
Cover: Unlaminated die-cut gatefold sleeve is showing surface wear. There is noticeable ring wear and surface rubbing accentuated by the black colour, plus rubbing to the edges. It is intact with no tear to the diecut hole, no stickers or writing. The spine text is only partly legible due to the rubbing. Inner gatefold surfaces are bright clean and unworn The Vertigo spiral original inner is present and well preserved
Labels: Vertigo spiral labels are bright and clean. A few spindle marks, no stickers or writing, excellent.
Vinyl: Vinyl is great - it has few of the expected faint paper marks, nothing nasty. It plays very well.
Overall:
A great playing copy of this album in a tiring sleeve - I'd guess it would professionally grade at (cover/vinyl) VG / EX

Postage: Reflecting new Royal Mail charges April 2014: Within UK, weight ranges usually allow up to three LPs to be posted for the same cost as one. For all other destinations costs are weight dependent, but incremental cost from additional LP's will normally cost less than the first. I am happy to hold records for a while if you wish to bid on more and combine shipment, but it helps if you can let me know particularly when bidding on items separated by a few days. Approximate prices for normal postage & packing -
UK £3.59 for up to 1kg (1,2 or 3 average weight LPs).
Europe £5.55 normal airmail, £10.55 signed-for. + £1.45 each additional,
Rest of world £7.85 normal airmail, £12.85 signed-for. + £2.70 each additional item
These amounts include actual Royal Mail cost for first class or air mail, plus 39p for actual cost of packaging material (a brand new custom mailer with stiffener). The greedy snouts in the trough at Ebay now charge sellers 10% of postage costs for which there can be no justification - I refuse to pass this shameful levy on to buyers, so you only pay post and packing.
Apologies, but owing to unreliability of some postal services, I will not ship to Italy, Russian Federation, & other former Soviet countries unless a signed for service is selected and paid for.
Losses: Royal Mail have reduced maximum compensation to £20 unless items are signed-for. Compensation on signed-for shipments is up to £50. Overseas purchasers - if your purchase is well over £20, a signed for service must be selected when paying or shipping will be at your own risk, not mine, and normal airmail will only be covered for up to £20.

I have decided to sell my whole vinyl collection as I know it won't be appreciated by my daughter or grandchildren, so I'm shifting it myself and hope I find good homes for it. Listed items are selected at random so there should be a decent if not particularly logical mix coming up over the next few months if you keep an eye on my other items now and in the future.
