Description
I will declare a lower amount on the customs form for all countries so as to avoid/decrease high import charges. However, in the case of the EU all purchases are subject to VAT which eBay collect at point of sale. No shipping to Russia currently. This first pressing plays with stunning quality across both sides with no interference as such. There is just a minor touch of easily missable light static on the final brief track on S1 and a couple of very quiet ticks on one of the intros on S2. It goes without saying the vast majority of this album is 'as new' with a clarity, depth and warmth to match. The sonic quality is incredible and the vinyl is in beautiful condition also and has only been lightly played.
The textured cover is in superb condition with only very minimal wear and the original Plastic Bags... inner sleeve has some fading / age related marking here and there but no side splits. Cat number in one corner also.

Visual description
The vinyl is in lovely condition and still has an immaculate jet-black glossy sheen with no marks or scratches. Under a bright light there are only a handful of ultra faint hairlines and even they are difficult to find! There is no groove or surface wear, no 'bag-rash', and the Vertigo Spaceship labels are superb with only a practically 'as new' with only a little spindle wear on S2 and hardly any on S1.
Play Grading
'In Procession' plays with superb audio from the get go. The intro has no background and as the percussion comes in the playback is just as strong. From then on it plays with a precision that cannot be faulted. The audio is so clean and clinical and even the fairground outro has no background. Mint
The percussive / bass intro on 'The Addison Trip' plays perfectly and this 'level' is kept up as it continues. The clarity, definition and warmth of the audio is stunning and with a strong bass presence the depth is outstanding. Once again every section plays to its very best and the 'vocal' is flawless. Another Mint track.
The gentle intro on 'Pastoral Graffiti' plays beautifully and I only noticed a couple of barely audible statics on Bertles first flute section. They are as so quiet and I only put them here because I always mention any background even if 100% non-intrusive. It continues to play with exceptional clarity and warmth right through to the end and it almost seems like an injustice to grade it as Mint- but I will!
The intro on 'New Life' has no intrusion and the next section plays with 10/10 clarity also. As the volume lessens around the halfway mark there is no background and I cannot emphasise enough just how pristine the audio is. For a short time it is so quiet and yet the audio is 'as new' with zero intrusion. The final section is equal to that and again this instrumental deserves a Mint grade.
'A Taste Of Sarsaparilla' ends S1 with sublime clarity and... no interference. Just a hint of super quiet static at the start which is non-intrusive and Near Mint is definitely a fair assessment of the audio.

S2 is completely made up of Ian Carr numbers and 'Sarsaparilla' plays with stunning quality through every section. The first 'busy' section is faultless and the very quiet section that follows plays with amazing clarity. From then on there is no interference, no background at all, the lengthy sax section a case in point, superb! Mint is richly deserved, the entire track could not play with any greater precision.
The slow paced and relatively quiet intro on 'Feast Alfresco' has no background and the first brass section is just as impressive. The sax solo is perfect and the entire track is underpinned by Sutton's deep bassline. It progresses in the same way and without labouring the point you notice how clinical the audio is. Clean and succinct, you miss nothing and the closing brass section is as good as the first. Mint with no intrusion.
'Rites Of Man' is very close to 10 minutes and it plays with unbelievable quality from start to finish. The very quiet intro plays with wonderful clarity with only a couple of minor dull ticks. As the volume picks up the audio is superb and there is no drop in quality as this section continues. The next section incorporating Spring's drum solo is perfect in every way without so much as a dust tick and the final piece is equal to that. The last 15 or 20 seconds is so quiet but again there is no background. Here I will grade the intro as Near Mint and from then on it is Mint without a doubt.
The Cover & Inner Sleeve
The textured cover is in excellent condition with only very minimal wear. Only the bottom edge has a little rubbing, the top edge is perfect, and the spine remains very clean with only a little wear on the corners. The right hand corners are very clean indeed and the opening edge has only very minimal wear. Both the front and back cover are so clean with no marking and overall I believe Ex+ is an honest grade, I'm sure many would say higher!
The poly-lined Plastic Bags... inner sleeve is in excellent condition with no side splits or tears but does have some age related fading here and there. In one corner the cat number has been written and also 1.95 which I assume was the price.

Postage & Packaging
I will only send items items worldwide via tracked shipping. This provides 'peace of mind' in case of loss or damage. The shipping costs are shown below and combined shipping is always offered. Any over-payment will always be refunded.
The Royal Mail only insure up to a value of £250 so if an item sells for more it may be wise to use a courier service (e.g. Parcelforce or DPD). An extra insurance premium will be required but I will not know the exact amount until the final sale price is known. Because of this I will sometimes have to estimate the cost and this will be shown in the listing. Please wait for the invoice before making payment and if you have any questions please feel free to ask. Many thanks.
All vinyls are packaged in strong over-sized custom made mailers with plenty of extra cardboard protection. They are placed inside separate poly-lined inners outside the cover so as to avoid seam splits in transit and then placed inside a PVC sleeve to provide even more protection. I pride myself on my high quality packaging as my feed confirms and if any customer has any specific requirements I am more than happy to help.
The mailers I use cost £1.00 each and I will use anything between 3-5 cardboard stiffeners which cost approx £0.18 each. There is also the cost of the poly-lined inner and PVC sleeve to consider, it all adds up! Not forgetting that eBay take 10% of the shipping fee also!!
