This one's a HUGE rarity!! The original pressing of Nurse with wound's 2nd album, "Merzbild Swet", recorded right after their "Chance Meeting on a dissecting table". Limited edition of 500 handnumbered copies, this one belongs to the original first handnumbered edition(while it was re-released after 10 years to be included in the "Psilotripitaka" box and there exists also a "grey area" re-release, both either unnumbered or numbered with printed numbering -all copies were numbered 310/500-, while one can also confirm that this one is the original, as it has a handwritten type of etching near the labels-while the re-issues had a kind of "mechanical" etching). Released on the great United Dairies label(Lemon Kittens, Whitehouse, HNAS, Asmus Tietchens, Bombay Ducks, Nihilist Spasm Band, Guru guru / Uli Trepte, Current 93) from the UK.

There is a more extensive use of tape editing and audio collage on Merzbild Schwet than was found on the preceding releases, a strategy that would become Stapleton's signature sound on the albums that followed. There is also the first overt use of humour; the sound of a repeated loud vinyl pop being included at the beginning of side one, initially creating the impression than the record is in some way damaged, before the repetitions accelerate to such a speed that it becomes obvious that it is part of the composition (the impact of this device is rather lost on the subsequent cassette and CD editions).

Although Fothergill was not involved in the recording, he is credited as a member on the sleeve; Pathak had already departed by the time the release was being prepared. However, Eve Libertine of anarcho-punk collective Crass provided vocals. Shortly following the simultaneous release of this album and To the Quiet Men from a Tiny Girl, Fothergill would split from Nurse With Wound and their nascent United Dairies record label, leaving Stapleton with sole curatorship of both, a position he enjoys to this day. Musically you have the great dadaistic-surrealist-musique concrete collages with cut-ups, deranged voices, one of the best NWW-Organum albums ever!! Like in most of Nww's albums, in this one there exists also a main idea, being the dadaist and futurist movements(as are named the 2 sides of the record). Highly recommended!!

In 1979 Heman left the group, and in 1981 it effectly became a solo project of Steven Stapleton, with a variety of assisting musicians over the years."

Vinyl in excellent condition(looks near mint, after listening it i listened to some noisy parts at the first 20 seconds of b: side and some small crackle in some points), while cover is excellent- with 1 inch spine damage and small bottom corner bend!! Just impossible to find such a great copy today!! No insert-was not supposed to have one, i think.
