Description
Nurse with Wound 3 LP box set from 1988. This limited release is rare on vinyl. Really amazing industrial drone music. On Steven Stapleton's Idle Hole label, which was the predecessor to United Dairies.
If you're a fan of Nurse with Wound, Current 93, Death In June, or any of the best industrial music of the 80's and 90's, you'll know that this album is legendary.
Records and box are both VG+. The cover has some curling on the rear inside left of the box as seen in photo #3. Each LP is in a black slipcover, as issued. Also includes the 2 original paper inserts (pictured above).

Record Grading
VG+ (Very Good Plus): A well-cared-for-record that is noticeably less then perfect, but defects are not visually or audibly distracting. Record surfaces may have slight scuffs or light scratches, but are still primarily clean. Sleeves may have some creases or minor ring wear, but will not be split. (A grade that will satisfy most collectors.)
VG (Very Good): A used, reasonable copy to play. Many of the defects found in a VG+ copy will be more pronounced in VG condition. Surface noise and sleeves may look worn, but the record is still a decent copy.
VG- (Very Good Minus): A well-worn record that is still playable. A record in this condition will have audible distractions and may have visible groove wear. Sleeves may have all manner of defects, but are still intact.
G+ (Good Plus): A little bit more worn and beat up than VG-. Still listenable and only typically sold if it's really rare.

The album was recorded by Steven Stapleton and his wife Diana Rogerson in May 1988. The only sound source was a number of effects units which he had set up to operate in a feedback loop - there was no original input signal being processed, simply the feedback hum generated by plugging the original chain of pedals back into itself. However, when Stapleton went near the pedals he found the sound changed in accordance with his proximity to the various pedals and units. Stapleton told author David Keenan (in the book England's Hidden Reverse) that he had created the album by gently moving his fingers above the various units to create the slow, subtle changes in the sound. As this shouldn't happen, Stapleton has put the album down to an electrical fault of some sort in the studio. This was acknowledged on a later reissue with the credit "our thanks to Electricity for making this recording possible". He remains proud of the album, describing it to Keenan as "fucking brilliant". The album title refers to Stapleton and Rogerson's daughter Lilith who was born that year. Lilith would go on to contribute both artwork and vocals to releases by NWW and Current 93.price rating
