Original 1980 pressing of the great 2nd Nurse with wound album, limited edition of 500 copies on the United Dairies label(Lemon Kittens, Whitehouse, HNAS, Asmus Tietchens, Bombay Ducks, Nihilist Spasm Band, Guru guru / Uli Trepte, Current 93) from the UK. I must clear out that this is indeed the original pressing, which can be concluded from the following characteristics(which make out the original from the various re-issues-bootlegs) : 1)has full title and United Dairies 03 printed on the spine of the cover 2)has the original insert, 3)is handnumbered 471/500(471 not printed), have a look at the scan!, 4)has handwritten style etchings on the vinyl. This record was also known as the one dedicated to Rudolf Schwarzkogler, the vienna aktionist of the fluxus movement, who killed himself in the name of art by successive acts of self mutilation. Nurse with wound on this album were a fourtet, with Stapleton, Pethak, Fothergill and Jacques Berrocal(Catalogue, Comelade), the last played tibetan oboe, pocket trumpet and conch(?). Special thanks were given to Danielle Dax, Jim Friedman, JAG, Leslie Happe, Dave Hodes, while grateful acknowledgments to John Cage and the British film institute. On the original insert, which is included here, one can find the "updated" and final version of the Nurse with wound list of influences...musically you have the great dadaistic-surrealist-musique concrete collages with cut-ups, beautiful female voices, one of the best NWW albums ever!! Highly recommended!!
