Napalm Death – Scum 12" LP - First Press - Yellow sleeve - Earache Records MOSH 3 - Super Rare
Grindcore/hardcore/death metal pioneers who influenced (and were in) about a billion bands in as many different genres. From Godflesh to Painkiller to Head of David to the Fall of Because to Carcass to a never ending list of awesomeness. But all these tributaries flow back to the one and only Napalm Death, and this here first (and in my opinion, best) platter.
Plus, these guys were seriously championing the Swans and Killing Joke back when no one cared about those bands. Eternal coolness points earned right there alone. Plus, the saint of the airwaves, John Peel, loved 'em.
This is the First Press of this album with the Yellow cover. It can be identified as a first press by the cover design and the matrix/runout messaging.

The vinyl has some extremely light surface marks that are just from rubbing against the paper sleeve (they don't affect play at all). The insert is in fine shape. The sleeve is in great shape as well. There is some minor crinkling around the edges of the sleeve (typical for an album that has been in storage for 25+ years) and an imperceptible dab of sticker residue on the front. Hidden away inside the sleeve there are some code numbers written by Earache or its distributor at the time.
I take meticulous care of my records and applied the same consideration to this album. You would be hard pressed to find a copy in better condition than this one!
