Nas: It Was Written LP, Vinyl, Columbia Records, 1996
It Was Written is the second studio album by American rapper Nas, released on July 2, 1996, by Columbia Records. After the modest commercial success of his debut album Illmatic (1994), Nas pursued a more polished, mainstream sound for It Was Written. Produced largely by Trackmasters, it departed from the debut's raw, underground aesthetic and embraced mafioso and gangsta themes. The recording also marked the first appearance of Nas's short-lived supergroup The Firm, featuring the rappers Foxy Brown, AZ, and Cormega.
From Nasty Nas to Nas Escobar, It Was Written took the Queensbridge block tales and expanded the landscape to represent a matured pro on top of the game.
This is the original UK pressing from 1996, with the inner sleeve with lyrics et al.

This record has been kept in storage in a smoke free household. It is from a large record collection, not a DJ collection, this record has never been DJed and is in good condition. 
On Side 1, there are some crackles before and at the start of the 1st track, 'Album Intro',  during the opening dialogue. There are three little crackles during the 5th track. Right  after the 9th track there is a small crackle.
Flip it over, there are several crackles and a small pop in the dialogue sample at the start of the 1st track on Side 2, 'Black Girl Lost', then a few small crackles during the track.  With the 2nd track, 'Suspect' there are some crackles during the opening exchange and drum beats. There are a few crackles at the start of 'Shootouts'. During the Nas and Dr Dre exchange, at the start of the 4th track, 'Nas Is Coming', there are a few crackles. Between  track five and six there are some crackles. There are three crackles at the end of track 7,  during the last verse, of 'love'm, love'm baby.    The record sleeve shows some foxing from being in storage.
