Description
Nat King Cole – The Unforgettable (1979, Reader’s Digest RDA-147/A, 8xLP Box Set, US) Original U.S. 8-LP compilation box set released by Reader’s Digest, in partnership with Capitol Special Markets and RCA Custom. All eight records are graded VG+, showing minimal surface wear and excellent playback. The outer box is VG, with moderate shelf wear and intact seams. Includes all original Reader’s Digest inner sleeves, each labeled D1 through D8.
This collector’s edition spans Cole’s most iconic recordings from the late 1940s through the early 1960s, organized thematically across 16 sides. It features collaborations with orchestras led by Nelson Riddle, Billy May, Gordon Jenkins, and the King Cole Trio, blending ballads, vocal jazz, and swing with lush arrangements and timeless charm.
