Description
Near Mint Special 1904 Disc Of Len Spencer & Vess Ossman "Hot Time On The Levee"
This special order record was pressed well into the later 1920s on top grade material. It would cost something in the neighborhood of $ 5.00 to have one of these made. I doubt this has been played much at all, as it is a remarkably smooth clean record.
The recording was made July 13, 1904. It is Take #2.
Spencer sings parts of "Hot Time in the old town tonight", and Ossman has some speaking role and of course plays throughout the record.
I am not recording this as it is such a great copy. But the "N" word appears about eight times in it.
This is just so clean ...rarely have I see one like this.
When purchased this recording will be carefully packed in a new box.
