Description

My own collection of 892 (if I counted correctly) 78 rpm records, that I'm selling due to a change of circumstances. It's not much fun for 2 people living in a one bedroom flat with 892 78 rpm records! They're mostly dance band 1920's to 1940's (about 700 odd), with some big band, humour, classical (about 60) and jazz (Reinhardt and Grappelli), some early Zonophones, novelty e.g. puzzle and laughing records thrown in. They've all been lovingly collected, well stored and are mostly filed alphabetically.

Please contact me if you've any questions by email, or phone (ask for number).

I just spent about half an hour listing most of the artists featured on the records, only to have all the information lost by eBay's system! However, every dance band and other artist you'd expect to find in a 'general' collection such as this is featured (Ambrose, Ray Noble, Henry Hall, Lew Stone, Savoy Orpheans, Harry Roy, Glen Miller, Jack Hylton, Roy Fox, Jay Wilbur, Maurice Winnick, Jay Whidden, George Formby, Tommy Dorsey, Joe Loss, Billy Cotton, Gracie Fields, Jack Payne etc), please ask about specific artists. All that is except... Al Bowlly, who was my main collecting interest. I'm selling my collection of over 400 Bowlly records separately. This lot contains all the others, hence its diversity.
