Description

Extremely rare find of early bulgarian pressing of sought Balkanton BKA 172 issued in 1970s with magnificent Nedyalka Simeonova bulgarian recitals of 1940 and 1950s.
Side 1: 1. Chausson: Poeme for violin and orchestra; 2. Saint-Saens: Havanaise
Side 2: 3. Hajiev: Song and Joke; 4. Fibich: Poeme; 5. Mendelssohn: Auf Flügen des Gesanges; 6. Sarasate: Romanza Andalusa; 7. Elgar: Caprice; 8. Hubay: Master of Cremona.
Orchestra of Bulgarian Radio and Television under Vassil Stefanov (Track No 1) Liliana Bainova, piano on tracks Nos 2, 4, 5, 6 Elena Mindizova, piano on tracks Nos 3, 7, 8
Balkanton 0172 (the earliest catalogue number). Mono. Made in Bulgaria, circa.1960.
Cover is generic, as usual for 1950-60s issues.  Record looks VG+/VG++, minor storage scuffs & hairlines only. Plays with typical background noise that a bit more noticeable in the beginnings of sides, circa 8-10 minor clicks scattered on Side 1, otherwise very nice.
