Description

After The Gold Rush original reissue of the 1970 Classic on UK Reprise in 1972. Matrix A2/B2. Label states 'Made in UK' and there is no WB logo in the perimeter label text. This is consistent with a 1972 pressing and is substantiated by the gatefold cover printed by MacNeill which is dated 1972. One year later they would have been printed by Gothic Print Finishers and the record label would include the WB logo. Also included is the original rough thicker paper lyric sheet.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) Looks shiny like new and has clearly only seen very light use. Under close inspection I can barely make out a single mark. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, EXCELLENT level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are silent and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. And believe me you need clean playback on this LP otherwise interference will just get in the way of the audio. We only detected some light static in track two on the first side and that's really all that is even vaguely noticeable. Don't under estimate how good a well preserved 1972 original UK pressing sounds. You will not beat the audio on offer here on any other copy - I can pretty much guarantee it. An unrivalled level of reproduction from the days when UK vinyl was probably the best in the world.
Cover (Ex) Again, has been well cared for and remains in great condition. There's a bit of light edge wear and a couple of very light marks, but in all other respects it is very well preserved. The text on the spine is largely readable and overall the cover maintains a superb level of rigidity.
Lyrics Inner (Ex+) Perfect condition. Barely any ageing. Almost faultless.
