Description

On offer here is a 3 LP box set of Greendale, by Neil Young with Crazy Horse, released by Classic Records of the USA in 2004.

As well as the triple LP's, there is a 28 page full size booklet, a 7" single pressed on Green vinyl, a sticker proclaiming "Where the Devil Is Greendale?" and a booklet containing reviews, descriptions of the work and list of tour dates.
This piece by Jon Bream of the Minneapolis Star Tribune explains about the album:

"Young tells little stories about each character before delivering the song.Greendale is a small town in Northern California where the Green family live.The town becomes a metaphor for the worlds problems, and this piece raises familiar themes heard in Young's music : respect for the ideals of youth as well as the wisdom of elders, respect for the environment, distrust of the media and fear of political and economic corruption"

I ordered this set from the US when it was released, the LP's are pressed on 200 gram vinyl and it was shipped over to the UK in very small numbers, in fact I have never seen another one.
I played the records once, i did not play the single, then stored the box in a clean smoke and pet free environment where it has been ever since.

The box has a very small point of wear in the bottom left and right points of the box, otherwise it is Mint. The records and all the contents are as close to new as could be.

This is a very rare release and a great opportunity for a Neil Young collector to enchance their collection with something few others in this country or the world will have, as I recall only about 5,000  (Max) were made.
