Neil Young "A Letter Home" Deluxe Box Set Recorded at Third Man Records
There’s a phone booth in Nashville.
Not for calling. For remembering. For resurrecting ghosts.
In 2014, Neil Young stepped inside Jack White’s 1947 Voice-o-Graph recording booth at Third Man Records and did what he does best: sent a message to the past. The result is A Letter Home — an album of covers, tributes, and time-slipped transmissions recorded straight to acetate. Warm, crackling, unfiltered.
This box set is the full experience. It includes:
-
A standard vinyl LP
-
An audiophile 180-gram “direct feed” LP
-
Seven 6-inch clear vinyl record booth discs
-
A standard CD
-
A standard DVD
-
One 32-page 12" x 12" booklet
-
Housed in a vintage-style faux tape box, like something you’d find in your grandfather’s garage — if your grandfather were Neil Young.
Covers include Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, Gordon Lightfoot, and Tim Hardin. The recording quality? Gloriously imperfect. The concept? Half séance, half scrapbook.
This isn’t an album. It’s a séance on wax.
One of Neil’s most haunting, handmade works — produced with Jack White’s analog sorcery.
This copy is complete and unsealed, with all media in excellent condition. Played gently, stored carefully
