Description

An original and genuine very 1st press for the UK market...PLEASE NOTE - there are lots of copies that look a bit like a 1st copy...and are NOT...what you see here is ABSOLUTE 1st press in every way. Matrix A1/B2...Pressing weight is good and NO mention of 'Made In UK'...[Important!].The vinyl comes housed on an original textured cover - mega notorious for surfacing in awful condition. We also have the genuine Lyric sheet and textured inner. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.

Vinyl (Ex-/Vg) In lovely condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection I can only make out a couple of lightest marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly NEAREXCELLENT level of playback with deviation in one track per side...DON'T UNDERSTIMATE THIS GRADING LEVEL ON THIS TITLE...most copies pay EX- or... a lot lower!! Almost nothing plays full Exc. Intros and inbetweens are lovely and quiet and the audio comes across with superb clarity - but not exclusively. Mostly a very nice sweet and clean player - when you hear those classic Young tracks...your heart melts...this music has that quality to it. Most tracks play ace. But there's two hellishly fussy tracks on this title...Man Needs A Maid & WORLD... I don't think I've ever heard them play clean on ANY copy....EVER...it's that bad! This copy plays them ok - acceptable and no better [Vg max]. The upside is that I don't actually think MAID is one of Young's better tracks [My opinion - don't shoot!]. So, the other tracks are top quality and top quality from a near-master copy. Loving it...just be sure you can handle the two subpar tracks.
Cover (Vg+) Good luck trying to find the original cover looking any better than this. Nigh on impossible. Most copies are BROWN! Clean and flat front and rear without creasing - tanning just starting at extremities. Rear is just spot on and there's not much edge wear either. It is looking extremely fine with sharp openings - have a look at other copies on line to see that this one is pretty smart!. Interior is looking fine too. Spine is 90% intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inners (Vg+) Bottom edge split and internally tape repaired.
Lyric Sheet (Ex-) Very nice!
